Samsung clearly traded the premium feel an all-metal chassis might need delivered to hold the grams off the Galaxy S2 - pop the battery cover off and you will find you are holding a bit of pretty flimsy plastic.
However, most of the time you will not be removing this and it matches properly into the contoured chassis - the mesh really feel on the rear also helps preserve your hand from getting warm during prolonged holding.
